Nutella used to be a staple in this household. On toast, with crackers, on a spoon... And it's healthy, right?! The commercials said it was part of a complete breakfast! (check out the ingredients or have a quick chat with me if you believe that)
As some of you may know, I kinda like hummus a little. Ok, I'm obsessed with it. And I love chocolate. So combine the two and... Amazing. ? Chocolate hummus- Process 1/4c almonds into almond butter in a food processor, then add: 1 can drained & rinsed chickpeas 1/4c cocoa powder 5 pitted dates 2tsp maple syrup Pinch of salt 1/3c unsweetened vanilla almond milk Process until smooth. Add more milk if necessary. So good! And you look like supermom when you say "Sure you can have chocolate for breakfast!" It is amazing on toast, with animal crackers, banana slices or strawberries. Or just with a spoon, I won't tell. *I have made a batch using Wowbutter in place of the almond butter and it was pretty darn good! So there are allergy friendly options for you nut-free folks!
